I was a guy who went for mass everyday and believed in that thing they call communion and received it too daily. Then I started thinking and reading about all the contradictions in it the Bible. Religion is just history. The Bible is the history of Israel and most of the books were originally written in Greek. Where was this God say about 2100 years ago? Where did all the water come from to flood the entire earth? Think and much than what dawned on me would stare you in the face. Happy thinking and exploring.

I was raised as a Christian and well grew out of that belief pretty fast. I can not wrap my head around dedicating my life and how I live it over a book and a boring one at that. I mean at least make it somewhat believable and not contradict itself so much.. Or when it has been changed to try and fit in more with modern day society.. Yeah if a god was real and believed stuff like slavery and all that, why would that god suddenly change its mind if it is all knowing? it doesn't make sense to me at all
I have faith ... my beliefs are consistent with the Nicene Creed

@questionWeaver Nicene Creed? :/
@NikosLB
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

NikosLB · 26-30, M
@HannibalMontanimal Why?
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M

No
NikosLB · 26-30, M
@WatercolourWildFlowers And why not? :)

@NikosLB I do not disrespect those who do. But I just fail to believe in a book that makes claims not backed up with some evidence. I know humans feel security in their beliefs and that's ok. I have my own beliefs it just does not include God. And I have heard all the reasonings about having faith. Its just not for me. And I will add I was brought up Catholic but do not follow.

@WatercolourWildFlowers pretty good answer!
