I Don't Believe In God

ok so a popular topic of discussion on sw has been about transgender people and the media and so on.. You mostly hear from bible bashing morons who say its not natural and its going against gods plans and all that crap.
my question is do people actually read the bible? I assume those people don't, they just choose a religion to try to back up their beliefs..

anyway here is a actual verse from the bible
"but the lord said to Samuel, "do not consider his appearance or his height.... The lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the lord looks at the heart."
-1 SAMUEL 16:7

so how can people say being transgender and changing your body is against gods will, when apparently that isn't even important to the lord?

PB, it seems that there are those who think that being transgender/gay is 'normal', those who do not, and some who just don't care. From there it goes to whether there is moral 'right' and 'wrong' in culture/society. The ones you refer to most likely interpret 'I'm Ok, You're Ok' as a lack of morals-right/wrong. Of course you can get the indignant reply that 'Of course I have morals and a sense of right/wrong -- transgender is something a person is born with and therefore is not 'wrong.' The ones you refer to simply do not accept transgender and don't believe that it is natural/normal/right.

But to get closer to your comment -- there are many flavors of those who read the bible. The 'fire & brimstone' ones are likely to exhibit what you say. The bible says that you are to point out others wrong, or that you are culpable for their sin. It also says that you are to do this with love. Some just amp up the fire & brimstone and forget the love and respect.
