I Don't Believe In God

Imagine falling madly in love, and then having a child. Is it reasonable to force your infant to choose a political party? And if they don't choose yours you disown them as your child?
Of course not, that's bullocks. Picking your political side is ambiguous work, and not at all clear, so we don't expect our mere infants to come to the right conclusion before they turn 2, because we know their intelligence can't grasp it at their age.
Why then, does an almighty, all knowing God expect that from us? He's supposed to be the best father, but look at how many of his children choose wrong, and he lets them go. He knows we're stupid primates but still forces us to make a decision that will effect the rest of our eternities. That is the most unreasonable thing in existence to force a child of limited intelligence to choose their forever, no refunds and no going back.

If the God of the Bible is real the way it says he is, then this is the only way we can look at God without deluding ourselves with hopey, faithy thinking that it's somehow God working in a mysterious way. That would be okay if the ends justified the means, but they don't, not only does he let bad things happen all the time, when it's all said and done, he will be the only cause of an even greater amount of pain as people burn forever in hell... a place HE created. If an all loving God could put 6/7 (and rising) of his children into eternal suffering for a decision made in a relative instant, then I want to burn with my fellow humans, because unlike God I couldn't enjoy Heaven with so much torment being caused to my brothers and sisters. What about you?

All comments are welcome! I'm firmly founded, but I love to openly discuss things with anyone, so any thoughts are welcome and encouraged!

Because those ain't the act off a god those are the acts off humans and the real problem with religion is humans can reinterpret it to justify there own political agendas and predjadists

Yes, absolutely. I also don't believe it's a problem with god, only peoples' perception of god, that their belief in him gives them authority to do things they wouldn't otherwise do.
If there is a god, no one has a clue about it, I'm just trying to get that across.

I all ways say that to religious people if there is a god and he's this big wise all knowing powerful being as they say is then it a bit arrogant for mere human mortals to assume we know what in his mind whats he's thinking and what he wants ain't it if he wanted people dead I'm sure he see to it him self and stuff and i sure if he really hated any off use I'm sire he tell us that him self too

I'm not clear. Do you or do you not believe in the existence of a god?
ReasonablyInsane · 26-30, M
I'm an atheist, but I still often imagine what it would mean if God was real because so many people are still convinced of it. God's not an impossibility, but some characteristics of God are impossible to coexist with our universe, and an all powerful god that cares about pain and happiness didn't create ours, that I can say with certainty.
Anyway, no offense intended.

No offense taken. I agree one cannot say with certainty that no god exists, but I can say with 100% certainty that the god of the Bible or Quaran does not exist.

Precisely.
