I Hate Christianity

According to christianity, Satan was created as a perfect being and given a rather cushy number in heaven. He sacrificed all that to stand up against the oppressor ("god") to set us free. Such an entity is deserving of respect yet ungrateful christians hate Him.

It seems pretty clear that the angel who fell, becoming Satan, was far from perfect.

I am not aware of any bible verse that indicates he was "created as a perfect being" as you say.

Also, he thought himself equal to God. He did not "stand up against the oppressor", he was cast down from Heaven into the earth, where he remains as god of this world.

God gave free moral agency to him and all the angels. Satan took 1/3 of the angelic host with him - they now serve here as demons.

God gave the same free moral agency to you and me. The difference between us and the angels is that we are created in God's image, and they are not. Also, they only exist in the spiritual world, where as we are spirits who live in a physical body.

We are higher than the angels, and they were created to serve us and God.

While you are here, you have a choice; to serve God or serve Satan. You can not serve both.

If you read the end of the book, you can see which one wins.

Not surprisingly, it's the one who wrote the book.

(The one who wrote the book also created the universe, space, and even time itself - so He does have an advantage!)

[c=#7700B2]no they don't exist at all.. I love how religion folks twist stories from their own book of worship to make it out like their God is perfection.. If you haven't read that lucifer was gods perfect creation, well you need to read a bible again.. Satan was the perfect creation and didn't agree with God on some things or another so god cast him out.. Your bible preaches love, yet your God shows no love to those who use this free will he gave everyone.. So to me that is just a hypocritical douche bag of a god. You think he loves humans, his most flawed creations, well if he cast out his most perfect creation over a disagreement can you honestly think he loves you?

But anyway none of it is real.. I recommend reading about Loch Ness monster or some other fantasy books, they are much more interesting and doesn't keep contradicting itself over and over again[/c]

@StrictLoving: If Satan was not created perfect, you have to accept that "god" created imperfect beings. In that case, this god thing can't be all it's cracked up to be.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. You might not see "god" as an oppressor but, when I see all the rules and regulations of christianity, I certainly do. Therefore, by standing up against it, Satan and His followers are freedom fighters and martyrs in my eyes.

Answer this, what sort of being condemns what it creates?

As I don't actually believe in any of this, I don't follow either of them, I'm just analysing the theology. Obviously a book written by either will be biased in favour of the author. However, when I point out contradictions in the book, I'm told it was written by fallible men whom even this supposedly supreme being couldn't direct to get it right.

@suzie1960: God created imperfect beings like me and you.

You were also created in His image - as a creator, and to love and be loved.

He also gave you (and Satan) free moral agency. You aren't a little robot with no choice. You are free to choose your own destiny. And you have!

It is your choice to hate rather than to love.

This is not what you were created for.

However, you are exercising your right to choose.

You're just not grateful for it.

@StrictLoving: If "god" created me in "his" own image and I'm imperfect, then "god" must be an imperfect female.

@suzie1960: "in his image" does not mean a carbon copy. Otherwise we would all be Gods.

If you are going to interpret scripture, it is important to be able to think.

It is also important to be a believer. There are a lot of places in the bible that say it will not make any sense to non-belivers.

So the fact that you don't understand the bible is itself a fulfillment of bible prophecy!

@StrictLoving: Those of us able to think aren't deceived by christian fairy stories. You're just repeating the same old rubbish, that one needs to believe (be deceived in by) it before one can see the evidence. Only gullible fools do that.

@suzie1960: You simply have a different faith that I do. You choose to believe there is no God and I choose to believe there is. Neither of us has any proof. It is a matter of faith.

What I find foolish is for a person to call another of foolish only because they are of a different faith.

14 Billion years ago the universe sprang into existence. All matter and energy was created in an instant and all the dimensions of space and time with it, and even the laws of physics that govern it.

The fundamental difference between you and me is that I believe something caused it and you believe that nothing caused it.

We have no proof. Only faith.

I must confess, your faith is far greater than mine.

The greatest miracle ever to occur has to be the spontaneous formation of the entire universe out of nothingness. To have faith that this was caused by nothing at all takes far more faith than I can muster.
