I Am Christian

If god is supposed to love us so damn much, why is his need to have us come to him without proof more important to him than the well-being off our eternal soul?

I mean, if you had a human parent who was more concerned that you love them without any real reason than they were with their child's well-being you would consider them to be a pretty awful, selfish parent, yes?

That's not love.

Ehhh the starvation explanation you gave isn't good enough for me. of course he isn't MAKING them starve. But it's happening.

People have differing opinions on whether or not you have to go to church, but you are supposed to congregate with fellow Christians and Jesus said two or more people together he is with them. You're supposed to support and lift each other up, so yes I'd say you're supposed to go to church (2+ people), but if someone is locked in solitary confinement until he dies I really don't think he would go to hell just because he didn't go to "church". I don't think that's a deal breaker.
