Open Doors Highlights/ Prayer Points Nov/Dec 2026
. 17 year old Akpe from Togo along with her mum got thrown out of the house after refusing to join her father's belifs and sticking firm in their faith in Christ.
. Brother AK from China has been arrested after Chinese police discovered a audio Bible via USB in his car. His whereabouts his currently unknown. Pray for his release, his wife and several children.
. Open Doors remembers former CEO Eddie Lyle, he has had many experiences- on one occasion he was surrounded in a church compound with 3,500 hungry Christians. After leading them in prayer two lorries came into the compound loaded with msize and rice.
. On another occasion Edfie visited India to see the brothers and sisters in Christ there- a young Indian pastor lacked a Bible and Eddie gave him his own personal Bible.
. We can see God uses family members to others in Christ (God the Son) but this is the first time I have read of Him using an 8 year old from Burkina Faso to do it. Aicha became the first Christian in her family at 8 years old and her family soon followed, persecution followed but they persevere.
. Please pray for the Arise Africa petition due to be set before parliament on 12 November.
. Please pray for MPs to be made aware of the January World Watchlist from Open Doors.
. Samman and his children in Central Asia- after coming to Christ his wife left them. He was planning to spend another Christmas alone with his children. Mid prayer some people knocked at his door. The visitors were Open Doors partners who prayed with him and connected him to church family. Later, for the first time in a while, the family shared Christmas with other believers.
. It is always joyful to read of children who are passionate about their persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ(something many proffesing adult believers could learn from). Lucy raised £30 by growing courgettes and selling them. She got inspired after going through the kid's prayer passport with her dad and she regularly prays for the persecuted church with her twin sister.
END
What particularly struck me was how God can save (yes I am aware He does have an age of accountability and there is salvation for young children, but it is never too young to come to Christ) and even use an 8 year old to bring her family to Christ.
Above- Aicha (Furthest to the right) and her family, now saved by Christ
