@peterlee The suggested journey terminates in folly, in failure. I have completed a far more difficult journey that surpasses wisdom, ending in justice.

@CleverGirl If your journey ends without believing Jesus and trusting in His atonement.. Your journey has been a waste of time and effort..

@Adstar Sorry, but that's an extremely foolish conclusion. It requires becoming unreasonable and ignorant.

I don't mind them - religions of all sorts probably keep most people in line better than if they are left to their own devices :)

@CleverGirl For some.
For a lot of people - they need the fear of burning in a place of fiery torment to keep them in check.
The one down side (just one that I'm mentioning) is that it is also used to justify wars because "Gawd is on our side" and the others are sub-human heathens
(even if they might actually be the same religion)

@Pretzel A carrot works just as well as a stick.

@CleverGirl for people that are basically decent anyway - hence "heaven"
Fairy tales lol

Believing literally means having faith in something that cannot be proven. For example, no one says they “believe” fire is hot or the sun is bright; instead, they say they “know” these things.

@peterlee An exchange has likely ocurred.

@CleverGirl Apparently not. In a divise called a tunnel diode, there is a forbidden zone where electrons cannot pass. Yet electrons are found the other side of the barrier.
