The right kind of Christian ?

So since joining similar worlds, I’ve got them so many wonderful messages of support, and feel like I am finally able to express my views as a Christian without worrying about harassment or retaliation. However, I have also been getting messages from people claiming to be “Christians” and then wanting to try to sexualize me or my experiences as a traditional Christian wife. What is interesting, though is the amount of women who have messaged me doing this and claiming to be religious and follow the Bible yet openly tell me that they are bisexual or gay and openly criticize me when I say that I believe in the word of creation. The Bible is not in à la carte menu, and must be understood in its full context. If you do not believe it then that’s OK. However, don’t criticize me and say that I’m not a Christian, because I don’t believe in homosexuality, evolution, abortion, and the distribution of pornographic and sexualization of minors. Sick! What is even more astounding? Is that all of these people believe that if Jesus was here today that would support these views, however, I don’t think any of these people have read the gospel of Matthew and I find it incredibly offensive that people can construct their own Jesus and use it as a proxy to justify any of their position, no matter what the Bible or Jesus’ own teachings say. It seems like as a Christian, all these left leaning and hyper sexualized individuals expect me to condone and promote their views because they believe the Christ preached love and tolerance. Though this is true, they seek to pervert this message, and leave out how Christ spoke against sinful nature and what constituted sin

Great Post WomanofGod26.. 👍

Jesus provided atonement for our sin.. He never sought to justify or promote sin or call sin acceptable.. Some people love their sin so much they want to twist the Word of God to make their sin accepted / celebrated even... Such people the scriptures say will be given over to deception and delusion.. And we see it all here on SW and society in general..

The LORD must be near to returning..

I’m not a Christian, but I do agree with you. I’m sorry to say that Christianity has been perverted by deviants in some churches. It’s good that you stick to your true faith, and the word.

@Carissimi thank you. It’s always funny that they send me a page long message talking about how they agree with me and then, as we get to talking, they tell me some of their sick beliefs, and I just respond with OK goodbye only to have them send me a two page message about how insecure I am in my beliefs because I’m not willing to debate them lol. I know my beliefs and will openly discuss them with people that are truly interested. However, I am not going to take precious time out of my day to the debate with some random profile online. I have children and a husband to care for and I value spending time with them more than debating fruitlessly with you.

Just block them. They are messing with you. @Womanofgod26

@Carissimi I always do. I just like seeing how much time they waste writing a page response to a three word goodbye

The only way I became Christian was because of Christ. Interacting with most Christians is how I became atheist for so many years. Most Christians are faith-killers and hypocrites.

@GeistInTheMachine agreed. The ones that are likely to overly criticize and be little others for not accepting this modern heresy likely haven’t read much of the Bible if at all

@Womanofgod26 Everytime something becomes mainstream, it becomes diluted. Christianity is no different.

well said, sister
I think the deal with spiritual beliefs is to be happy within your own, and let go everyone elses .

There is literally no point in getting upset over it, or dwelling on it.

And to be honest, to do so just adds fuel to their fire to harass and argue with you. (I say this as a friendly warning, as just as there is support here, there is just as much antagonism).

Dont let others get under your skin.
