I'm sorry, but I feel a better question would have been, not if we are a Christian or any other religious group, because some who pretend to be Christians, are phony, and people then associate that with all Christians, and turn away from Christ, unfortunately.
Salvation has absolutely nothing with denomination or religious groups. It has to do with the human soul and what one decides about where they want to spend eternity. Therefore I feel a good question will ask if the person has invited Jesus into their heart and life and accepted him as their Savior. Not criticizing by any means, just saying. The question was a good question, but maybe not that clear in people's minds.
