What happens to people who have never heard of the gospel or Jesus when they die? Where do they go?

If its not their fault, then He judges by their heart and conscience. The voice of conscience is what God put into us as the guiding “light” of what is wrong and right. If they were offered the Gospel or had a chance but chose not to... well, will have to answer. I read something like that in one book
