I Am Christian

The scriptures say to stay away from divination. It doesn’t say that divination is false or a lie. Just that it’s an abomination.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV)

10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering,[a] anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer 11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.

It’s interesting to me, on the basis that divination is possible, why stay away from such powerful tools; tarot, astrology, and the like. It wouldn’t be a biblical problem if it was all false right?

The bible has instances where magic is recordes.
Moses went to Pharoah who had his magicians turn there staves into snakes.
King Saul, went to the witch of Endor to conjur up the spirit of Samuel the prophet.
Th apostles had a seer following them, proclaoming they were prohets of GOD.

So.yeah, I believe in the stuff; and I believe its wrong.
