If there's only one god in the bible, why does he insist that "you shall have no god before me" ?

@MetalGreymon something so high is not for something low like these eyes to see.. yet instead of seeing with our hearts,we wanted to see with our eyes..so the idols fit the criteria..now, if you're not to ask for the intention to know, remember, you're wasting your time..
