Change the subject and point out the inconsistencies in the bible, such as light was created before the sun, plants existing before stars, this contradicts modern astrophysics, geology, and evolutionary biology. Then there is the flood, geological and fossil records show no evidence of a worldwide flood that covered all high mountains as described in the story of Noah, nor could a single vessel house the genetic diversity of all extant land species. They just won't fit and the boat is so long it would break in half in the middle when buoyed by two different waves. The sun standing still in Joshua 10:12–14 contradict the laws of physics, as stopping the Earth's rotation abruptly would release catastrophic kinetic energy. If these things can't be true well what about other things.
