Right Or Wrong Beliefs

Genuine question:

Is there a right or wrong way to believe the Bible?

For context:

I am talking to someone on TikTok, and apparently while we were chatting, the more we chatted, the more this person made me question whether I was believing the scriptures that I know incorrectly. This person was making me doubt the way I understand Bible Verses, and I don't know if it is right to feel uncomfortable about what is happening, but I feel uncomfortable because I don't understand if he is just trying to change my belief or what version of the Bible even this person is reading.

This is what makes me feel uncomfortable: This person said that He does not feel a genuine desire to share the words of God, in other words, he is being forced to share the words of God

My point is: Is there a right or wrong way to believe the Bible? Please enlighten me 😭 I don't want to be led in the wrong perspectives by people 😭

Let me give you an example:

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and not with your own understanding"

I believe that when you resent me this, you wrote it in a different version, so my question is, how do you understand this message? Because to me, I understand it as "Trust in the Lord no matter what happens because you might not understand why you are experiencing what you are experiencing right now, but the Lord knows why you are experiencing what you are experiencing, and He is telling you to trust in Him because His way is better"

Thank you

There are separate main denominations in the Christian churches and of those several main denominations thousands of sub-denominations. Many of those sub denominations are based on name, country but many are based on different theologies in a scripture or scriptures.

Is it your analysis that the person is being forced or did the person directly say they are being forced. And if forced do they feel God is forcing them or by whomever the is who teaches them?

Paul wrote some have the gift to teaching or preaching or prophesying are speaking in tongues whether the tongue of Angels or the tongues of man or giving or service

Let the truth of scripture / what scripture says and not necessarily the churches interpretation of it speak to you. Let the Holy Spirit guide you to all truths.

And yes we are to trust in the Lord no matter what happens good or bad

Okay - is that person's feeling, which is a personal issue for that person.

As individuals we do feel differently don't we.

Some may love to do missionary work to spread the word - where others may be reluctant.

Not saying that person is not a Christian but if it's not in that person's calling they would not feel comfortable. Aren't they may be more of a servant such as an usher or acquired member or doing some type of service in church. And outside the church a smile, a thank you, to help someone is service to people and showing the love of God.

Ministers have a tendency to teach that one should do this, that, or the other which isn't necessarily fact.
