Honestly… grab a bible. Start where you want (but if you want the beauty of Christianity… go with Matthew).
But really dig into the whole thing.
Matthew is going to teach you that you don’t need a church (in fact… in many ways… Jesus argues against all concepts of modern Christianity).
Once you think you’ve figured out your personal Jesus: try some Churches and their services. See what sticks in your heart. What do these people do for service. How do they treat others in their community.
I dated (maybe it was FWB) a woman in my early 20’s who was an adopted and her parents died early. She was constantly searching for a spiritual home. She admitted she got suckered into a cult before she met me. But we kept trying places. She ended up in a non-denomination church. Great music.
I suggest you try the same thing.
