People understand the verses. But what they learn point their deeds as sinning. So they purposely misinterpret it and convince others to do the same.

Different person, Different interpretation.

Parables.

We understand it better when we are righteous.

@Umile They are just parables.. ie, stories. I think most understand the stories, but it may change if they think it's a sin.

@SW-User You ever read it ? Me and my family can interpret it all differently. The bottom references and definitions help.

@Umile The Bible? Not entirely. I read as much of it as I did the Quran and Buddhist words. I will know more from the Bible from nursery school as a 4 year old, and somewhere I think all those stories point to the same need in being human

@Umile but can it entirely be true? I will know my cultural references and teachings more. So while I read close to equal amounts, I was taught without being asked to be taught more from my culture. And when I think of the topic of sin, it so happens to be I have never read a relgious word or philosophy, that is that different from another. But I do prefer texts and ideas that treat sins as being human that give to understanding instead of condemnation. And on that level philosophies of thought, err religion, really take on different meanings.
