The Wise and Foolish Builders
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

These are my go to Bible verses when I have a lot of concerns on my mind and heart, when I face challenges and when things become daunting to say the least.

Isaiah 41:10-13 and Philippians 4:6-7

ISAIAH 41:10-13 says: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you. I will really hold onto you with my right hand of righteousness. Look! All those getting enraged against you will be put to shame and humiliated. Those in a fight with you will be brought to nothing and perish. You will search for the men who struggle with you, but you will not find them. The men at war with you will become as something non-existent, as nothing at all. For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, the One saying to you, 'Do not be afraid. I will help you."

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 says: "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Jesus Christ."
