I was raised in many different churches. I listened to the person in the front preaching to word. I watched the people around me. I watched them deeply, ignoring the polite words of fakery. I watched how they treated others, judged others, gossiped about others, etc., and I saw nothing of Yeshua in these buildings or the people in them. That is not to say there are not a few that reflect Yeshua's heart and love, because there are. They are the exception rather than the rule, though...This is why I don't call myself Christian. I am a follower of Yeshu. 🙂
The only way to really find your way to the love of Yeshua is through the scriptures. However, these scriptures have been twisted and made to fit , whatever agenda the powers in charge in this world were pushing at any given moment. Still, Yeshua gave us a way to cut through the BS and see what he really taught. He said you will know them by their fruits. This can be applied to the teachings of any church and to the people in the church, as well as to all other people and teachings.
Yeshua loved EVERYONE!!!!!!! He came to the lowly, the different and the misunderstood. He felt at home among these kinds of people. He taught love, pure non-lustful, unconditional love. As you read scripture, if you run across something that seems unloving or something that teaches you to judge someone else. IT IS NOT FROM Yeshua!.... Period. This was something added to control the actions and thoughts of the people, by those who control this world.
Now, many say Yesua doesn't love you if you are this way or that way. Let's take, for example, the LGBTQ folks. Some Christians think it is their place to judge these folks, or shun them or shame them, all in the name of doing Elohim's will. However, there are far more scriptures telling us that it is not our place to judge or withhold our love. In fact withholding our love and judging others is the one thing that runs us into the devil's arms. The devil's favorite soul to catch is the self-righteous Christian. To him they are like a hot fudge sunday with all the trimmings. 😋
You don't have to agree with everyone; this would be impossible, but you have to love everyone. I mean everyone. That is the test we are here, in this world, to ace. No one said it would be easy, but it is the only way. If you see any teaching or any person without love, you can be sure Elohim is not with that person or in those teachings. So many people are divided from Yeshu, because so many Christians have become stumbling blocks placed between them and Elohim. Those who are Christians should know what is said about stumbling blocks. 🤔
Well, I will get off my soapbox now. I want my Christian friends to know that I love them ( as I love ALL others) and I say what I say because it has been pressed on me to say it . I don't judge you for what you believe or the church you belong to. We are all on the same road to get home. It is just that some of us are taking the highway and others of us are taking the off-road route. :-)
