I Am Not Religious,but I Believe In God
I posted this to a friend ,thought it was worth sharing ,,,
Perfect to men and what is perfect to Christ are 2 separate things .
Man says to be perfect I never sin ,Christ says if I think I never sin I fool myself and I think I can do it alone without Him .
His Word tells me what sin is ,the 10 , 1 John Sin is transgression of the law .
They are all about love ,,the first 4 our Love for God ,6 how we love each other ,,not as hard to keep as some make them sound ,but they are what sin is ,
to willfully break them ,we willfully sin ,,but Christ knows we fall short sometimes ,,so He stands ready when we repent ,to say thats ok ,,I still love you ,,now here take my nice clean robe of righteousness and try to keep it clean a little longer this time ,,,as He chuckles ,,,silly kid can't stay clean no matter how hard they try ,,,Good thing they have me ,,,
but He only does that for people who love Him ,,they show by their intent of their hearts ,,those laws matter just as much to them too ,not to earn salvation ,but because they want to show love ,1John 2 ,,ask how to we know we love Him ? and His Children hate disappointing Him,,its those who say they love Him ,,but only know His name for special occasions ,,,,Like Christmas and Easter ,,,,and when they are in trouble,, He is not so quick to rewash their robes .
If your kid got dirty just because they can and know you paid with your blood to wash that robe, but with no regard for you and your sacrifice ,they intentionally keep soiling it ,Would you be happy to see them running in and out all day with a robe in their hand ,,"Here wash this" !!! Like He owed it to you ?,like that is all you have to do ? ,Do you know that would be the same as wanting to crucify Him each time if that was all there was to the plan of salvation ?no regard to the cost this washing has cost Him ?Forget turn off the lights and shut off the water ,,this is blood ,spilled by Him on a cross, He has to use to use the blood of a perfect sacrifice to remove stains of sin ,,No Blood ,no remission for sin .
So there is no way to keep it spotless on your own ,but He wants you to at least try ,but His won't soil it only to hide behind an excuse,," I'm not perfect" ,I am not either ,but I do not go through life ,"Oh well, I got spots on it who cares" ?,,Christ will just have to wash it again ,,my 10th clean robe today ,,,Oh well ,thats the breaks ,,thats His fault for choosing to die for me ,,That only shows they don't know how this works and they do not know Christ at all .
Self Righteousness ,,,is outside of Grace ,thats us not doing anything so we can stay clean ,,In a bubble ,never dealing with the world so they can see how our Father taught us to act ,and how we respect Him and others ,never showing the love we are created to show ,but we are good, we drink not and touch not ,We try to be good enough of our own merit ,,God is the Word ,Christ is the Word made flesh Both are Love ,His Law ,the Royal law of liberty is the embodiment of Love .Christ simplified it ,Love God and your fellow man and by doing so you keep all the Law ,the first 4 ,Love no other God ,the other 6 ,love your Brother as you love yourself ,,then you keep the other 6 rolled up in 1 ,,nothing new ,just simplified ,So 1 john ,Sin is transgression of the Law ,,,But we have to use the Law ,Lawfully ,in love ,not condemnation john 3:17
BUT knowing His plan for us ,and why He keeps giving us His robe's, is critical to being Born Again ,,and Christian means Born Again ,His Spirit now dwells in us if we are truly His ,"You Shall Know then By their fruit ,you can't put on Fruit of the Spirit and live like the World ,,We are to overcome the World by the words of our testimony and our Faith ,Love for Christ ,And then ,He allows us to wear His robe that only He is really worthy to wear ,,let alone keep it clean .
then we are mature in His ways ,Made perfect by what He has done ,Now we are the Righteousness of Christ .
He now takes our filthy rags and He lets us wear His robe, as many as we need until He takes us home
Now when we get before Big Daddy ,the Spirit that no man at any time has ever seen ,only Christ has ,,you can bet we are going to have some bright and spotless ones on ,He will have made us perfect and reconciled us unto Himself ,so He can present us ,Spotless and blameless to the Father ,but our faith will have earned us those our names still in the book of life will have earned us the blood at that time He will apply to the mercy seat ,to atone for our sins ,,at the End of the Age ,not at the cross as some believe
Heb 9:24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself,
At the END OF THE WORLD ,or else why would we need to overcome the world ,flee immorality ,flee satan ,,He plan was to save the World ,but did the World love Him ?
,,,So all we can do is our best and He will keep doing His ,,,but He warns ,,if we say we love Him but don't walk in the love those commandments contain ,,,,we are none of His ,we are liars ,and the truth is not in us ,
1 John 2:3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him
Why are we told today we no longer have to keep the commandments ,so you will believe a lie ,satan's last trick to cost you your robe
Rev 22:14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
.,,the Gospel is actually pretty simple ,thats why satan has to work overtime to make it seem hard ,,,but we make the choice ,,He won't force anyone ,,He has made your failure come down to your choice to love ,He has done the rest that you might be saved ,,He's not making it any simpler ,,it was His blood that gives Him the right to make the rules ,,,SO I am a sinner ,wearing Christs robe ,nice to meet you ,,nothing special ,,just forgiven ,,and I have a great Father ,He looks after me ,,,and I remind everyone just how great He is and He loves being their Father too ,,,but don't make Him look foolish ,do not abuse His Love ,,,Mother nature has nothing on Him when He's mad or upset ,,,
He does hold the keys to life and death ,not satan ,
