I have been receiving God’s blessings all my life. I offer prayers of gratitude. God is not a vending machine.

@Mamapolo2016 good to know, but what do you mean by vending machine?

@Kaetana I mean it’s not the words that matter. It’s the truth behind the words. If you believe in an omniscient God as I do, God already knows.
The moment someone tells me they know how I should pray, or the rules I must follow, I no longer trust them. There is a great deal of evidence that the “church” (not every church, but the “church entity”) is way too often just a tool to defraud church members. They want to be faithful and do their part and soon they can scarcely afford food and rent, the church building gleams from gold vessels and the “pastors” are flying their private jets to their tropical getaway.
By “vending machine”, I mean God does not always say, “Yes” when we pray for something, whether it’s a new tractor or the life of a loved one. You can’t just slide coins into a slot and retrieve your answered prayer.
I hope for you to have a holy and blessed Christmas.
