My belief in God seems to be built in to my heart and my GUTS. HE has always been there, since the Nuns first taught me of His existence, and my love for God is the ONLY love that still brings tears to my eyes. (I am one of those people who always cries when I feel love).
God, and His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, are the reason I was able to recover from the deep pit of despair I experienced years ago after I left the ex.
I could SEE Jesus Christ peering down at me, (in my minds eye), as I wallowed in grief at the bottom of that mental pit, and I KNEW that at least HE cared about me. That there was ONE in all this world and the next who cared about me. And that was enough. That was ALL I needed.
With the strength that God gave me, with His grace and His love, I was able to go forward. I was able to make a new life, and I was able to survive all by myself.
Those who don't KNOW God can ALWAYS find Him. His love and grace can save ANYONE, just as He saved ME!!!!

@4meAndyou thanks for your lovely response. Like you from a child I had always believed in a higher being. As I got never questioned that there was something greater than us ordinary human beings.
However I wasn’t quite able to decipher, which of the religions might be the actual truth over which might instead just be close possibilities?
So I took to examining each on its own merit.
At the time of my Epiphany believe God knew I was ready enough to receive the answer and that my heart would not misinterpret that answer when it arrived.
For me it was profound moment , I just without any that there would be no more questions to be answered.
It had been a homecoming to say it had been an amazing experience is to understate the truth itself.

Like you I could logically justify , being a believer of Spiritual rather than a Specific religion.
Many are finding that salvation has nothing to do with one's religion or denomination. And that religion is nothing but man-made philosophy. Religion did not die on the cross for our sins. The person of Jesus did. I feel blessed that I can trust that Jesus is no liar. When he says that he is the Way, the Truth and the Life, he means it with all his heart and soul.
I love that John 3:16 confirms that there's no need for good works before we can have salvation in him. He tells us to come as we are and he accepts us just as we are with unconditional love. I praise him for that. There really is no substitution for Christ and what he can do for our lives.

I don’t concern myself with theology or doctrine. I believe and act on my own experience.
Any time in my life I was stranded or lonely or heart-broken or trapped, SOMEBODY appeared to guide me or drag me to a better path.
Many if not most disagree with me, but I believe “all the gods” are the same God, if followers are truly seeking enlightenment.
Never mind the “Holy Books” supposedly given by divine dictation. Never mind the “saintly representatives on earth.” Whether priests or mega church founders, they are impostors. Not all, but the vast majority. In one way or another, they work ceaselessly to pry money from the hands of the poor.
I love the Bible as literature, and many genuine inspirations. I’ve read it numerous times. But there’s a great deal of “social engineering” at work there, and the other Books as well.
In my opinion, which I do not try to impose on others.

@Mamapolo2016 I can’t fault you for thinking this way. Simply because what you say has been proven, there are too many churches & individuals getting extremely wealthy from misguided folk.
This is why discernment is key . Most of us have it, there’s nothing wrong with one investigating a religious organisation before one because invested .
Do they assist their congregation as community and individually
Are they working tirelessly within their community?
If their worth as been then there’s every good reason why they should be ministering.
As well as this there are many people who simply choose to worship God on a one to one basis. Performing charitable works as part of their everyday lives.
Discernment prevents us from falling prey to false churches and idols.
Thanks for you comms I pray you happen across a person , or church who is interested in your spiritual needs more than profit.
I can promise it will be a wonderful experience
For you 🙏🏽
