I Belive In God

I am going have to start making changes about myself to be like Christ. I want to do all things according to his will and get baptized to secure my place in Heaven. I fear the end may be very near and I don't want to be left behind.

As I understand it, baptism is a public declaration of what has already transpired when you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. It is your acceptance of Jesus and your faith in Him that secures a place in heaven. And you cannot DO anything in order to be saved because salvation is an unearned gift Jesus gives us when we accept Him in faith; our good behavior is something we do out of our joy in our acceptance of the Lord in our lives and our desire to be like Him and at one with Him.

@adhane05: Didn't mean to sound so preachy...I am a new Christian, as of March, 2015. I took a class at my church in the basics of Christianity. I'll probably meet you someday, because we're both going to be in the same wonderful place. Looking forward to it!

@adhane05: Actually, the odds are I'll be doing the welcoming given the age brackets. But we never know. We only know that someday we will be there.
