I Belive In God

I am trying to be in right place with God. It is difficult though because one the things I have to do is to show mercy to others so God will show mercy to me. How do you show mercy to someone who gets under your skin everyday? And what exactly do I do to show mercy to him?

Try to ignore them. If they constantly get under your skin with purpose then they havent changed their ways and therefore not made themselves worthy of forgiveness.

For a Christian, it isn't about if they're worthy or not, it's about being able to forgive people their faults; taking the higher road. Doing the right thing is never easy.

@ZenLioness719: I don't agree. It never says in the bible that you have to forgive someone for something they're currently doing. It teaches you that after they've done something you should forgive them. It says that if they regret then you have to forgive them. I've read the scriptures many times and it never says forgive them instantly and blindly.

@MartinTheFirst: okay, I am not Christian. But he's wasting energy being affected by what this person does. If he doesn't show it affects him, they might stop doing it, and then he can focus on better things. He wouldn't be blindly forgiving him anyway. The person has been doing it to him for a while. So mercy, I think, would be ignoring them, instead of feeding into it where nothing gets solved. If it was me...it wouldn't be pretty lol.

@ZenLioness719: 🤔 yes, ignoring them as I also said hehe... Perhaps he should try to avoid them? I just mean that, before a period is over, I don't think one should forgive that period. That period, from my standpoint, currently being the duration which they are being annoying towards him. But if his morale tells him to forgive them before they've regretted it, then he should follow that of course.
