I Belive In God

I am trying to be in right place with God. It is difficult though because one the things I have to do is to show mercy to others so God will show mercy to me. How do you show mercy to someone who gets under your skin everyday? And what exactly do I do to show mercy to him?

How would God show mercy to you? Sometimes that's what he expects of us toward others.

By His forgiveness. He won't forgive me if I don't do the same. I know that is what he expects of us, but I'm not certain how to do it.

God isn't trying to make it difficult or impossible for you to guess what to do, he just wants you to be willing to extend to others what he gives you. He forgives you when you get under his skin, so you forgive others in the same way when they get under your skin. It can be that simple.

You said you "forget about it and move on."
Is that what you would expect God to do for you?

Or would God forget about it, and then welcome you back into his presence immediately? See the difference?

@O-sure: Yes, I see the difference. I try to forget about his faults, but there is something new that comes up and it's a never-ending cycle.
