By the grace of God I am what I am....

So by God's grace from a unanimous verdict I was voted as the deacon of my local church last night.

I was so moved- as a thankyou my pastor has gone through the trouble and actually ordered me a physical inabridged copy of Matthew Henry's commentary on the Bible.

Christians please pray I may be of great help to the other deacon and that we both may help reduce my pastor's workload so he can focus on his God given gift- preaching! Ultimately pray my role may bring God all the glory.

I thank God for my pastor- he is not an ear tickler who talks about "self love" or "positive affirmation" he preaches what Christians should be preaching- the Gospel! He is not a coward who shys away from talking about God's wrath, God's anger, hell and judgement.
