Where My Soul Finds Home [Part 3] - [Romans 15:7]

Romans 15:7 [NLT] says this: "Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory."

[A Final Reflection: The Home, The Becoming, The Welcome]

When I reflect on this journey; the desire for home, the transformation, and now the invitation...I recognize how each phase has been God molding me from within. Part 1 was when my spirit yearned for a place of comfort. Part 2 was when the Sovereign Lord started to examine my heart and reveal to me who I am becoming. Now, Part 3 seems to be the moment He softly directs my focus outward, teaching me how to create room for others just as He creates room for me.

There are nights when I sit with God and feel the weight of how deeply He accepts me; not the polished version, not the perfected version, but the real and authentic one. The version that wrestles with insecurities, desires, temptations, impatience, and dreams for the future that sometimes feel too big for my hands. And yet, He welcomes me. He doesn’t rush me. He doesn’t shame me. He doesn’t withdraw His presence when I stumble.

He simply says: “I have room for you.” And that truth has been reshaping me.

If God can hold space for me, with all my complexities, all my growth, all my becoming...then I want to learn how to hold space for others, too. Not perfectly. Not forcefully. But sincerely and genuinely.

[Learning to Make Space the Way God Makes Space for Me]

Part III feels like the room in my spirit where God teaches me how to extend the same grace He offers me. It’s the space where He shows me how to love without losing myself, how to welcome others without abandoning my boundaries, and how to accept people without pretending I’m not still growing.

Sometimes I tell Him:
“Sovereign Lord, O God, Heavenly Father...you know my heart. You know the moments I become guarded. You know the times I overthink. You know the seasons when I feel too tired to open up. But I want to reflect your welcome; not perfectly, but honestly.” And He meets me there.

He reminds me that acceptance isn’t about pretending.

It isn’t about stretching myself thin. It isn’t about carrying burdens that aren’t mine. It’s about loving from a place of wholeness, the wholeness He’s been building in me since Part I.

It’s about giving from a place of peace; the peace He’s been restoring in me since Part II.

It’s about welcoming others with the same tenderness He uses when He welcomes me, the tenderness that has carried me through every quiet conversation we’ve had.

I’m learning that making space for others is not self-erasure. It’s self-extension. It’s an overflow. It’s the natural fruit of being accepted by Him first. And while this reflection is personal, I hope anyone reading feels invited to consider what “making space” looks like in their own journey; not as a burden, but as a reflection of Christ’s heart.

Because in the Father’s house, there is room. And in my own life, I’m learning how to create room too! One prayer, one act of kindness, one moment of grace at a time. Amen! xoxo
