Psalm 34 and an English seaside town
On Wednesday's Bible study the visiting pastor gave us a story he had which went well with our study of Psalm 34.
It was a while ago and he was doing some beach evangelism with a group.
A tall, muscular guy around 6'6 got up into the pastor and was angry. Fuming. Yelling abuse, prodding his chest, spittle coming out of his mouth. The pastor is a small man at 5'4 and had no chance.
The abusive tall man finally got away and after a discussion the group decided to finish early.
Well, a man who knew the group and the abusive man (who as you can tell had severe mental health issues) later told the group that the abusive man had confessed to him that 10 minutes after the group had left, he had returned looking for them armed with a knife.
Psalm 34 in action! I don't know the spiritual state of the abusive man today or even if he is alive, but if he is alove we would do well to pray for the Lord to open his eyes.
