Well I'm waiting....

To summarise my points I have made:

. No such thing as a lone wolf Christian that doesn't (if they can) attend church, refer to Hebrews 10:25.

. Christ will not leave you as you are, you will grow in holiness- 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

. You will view other Christians as family- 1 John 3:14.

For the millionth time I am aware JUSTIFICATION is solely by the cross and not dependant on performance but if we are generally saved we will grow in Christ.

I know, I know. You love sugar coated posts on here making the Christian walk about you. Rather than have a hissy sniffle and not comment, tell me where I am going wrong according to God's Word.

I was reading my daily devotion book after my Bible reading, from Sibbes today and was shocked to read this, the source is 'Glorious Freedom' pp. 103-104 (114)

"Men trust to the mercy and grace of God, but do not look for a change and this prevents many from embracing the gospel and from knowing Christ as the truth is in him. They hear that they must be changed and they are unwilling. They believe that God is merciful, and that Christ died, and so on. They snatch enough of the gospel to build themselves up in self-love and think all is well."

What great timing for my theme and although written around 400 years ago how well it describes multides on SW!
