Weaponising "Salvation isn't based on performance"

We know!!!!!! Christ meant every word when he said "It is finished" to add anything to His death for our JUSTIFICATION would be to deny His saving power and insult all He went through on the cross.

But there are those who are spiritually lazy that have not grown in santification and may well not be saved- God explicitly states in His word he will make us grow in holiness. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

Example- A HUGE red flag are proffesing Christians that do not attend church- (oh, you think your above God's word of telling us to gather together, needing encouragement and encouraging others do you? Read Hebrews 10:25!)

Someone put "I no longer feel attending church is necessary" Translation= "I'm on a higher spiritual plane than you. In fact, I'm on a higher plane than the Apostle Paul himself!" or "“I’m pursuing a New Testament faith by ignoring most of the New Testament commands.” Read Hebrews 10:25.

Yeah. Christ has commands- nowhere in scripture does it say you can take Christ as Saviour but not as Lord. Read Hebrews 5:9

Another huge red flag is not reading the Bible daily- why on earth would a proffesing believer believe they have God's Word and not bother reading it ?????? Read 1 Peter 2:2

With the two points above I am obviously not reffering to people with health issues, emergencies, etc.

After believing on Christ (God the Son) God does not just leave us as we are but grows us in holiness- and no, holiness isn't obsessing about the Whitehouse or the fake 'faith office' or having a pathetic hissy fit because your favourite right wing politician didn't get in or California made a new liberal law, etc. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

So yes we are solely JUSTIFIED by Christ's finished work on the cross but if you still love sin, have no desire to attend church, don't have a special love for other believers and have no desire to read God's Word I am absolutely concerned for your soul! On love of believers read 1 John 3:14.

This all goes back to a certain mindset in a certain type of evangelicalism- just me, God and my Bible- no, we are in this as the body of Christ, a lone wolf Christian is an oxymoron!

To summarise I am talking about the type of alleged Christian that reads the endless posts about "salvation is not performance based" and translates it as "I can live however I want".

No. Paul explicitly warns agains this in Romans 6:1-2. If you are only going to read one verse I put read this. Very relevant to alleged Christians on here posting widly inappropiate posts, thinking church isn't necessary and living in a way that they KNOW is against God's word.

Don't make the mistake I made and justify your sin. And yes when we do sin (all of us do) we have a perfect advocate in Christ.
