A fitting tribute

Today my wife and I and some of our church members went to a celebration at a church plant to celebrate it's landmark anniversary. Full notes coming Monday- in for a treat!

But at the service today a tribute was made to a member who died young.

On my side, it all began when a pastor of this church plant asked my wife to do a voicenote of encouragement to the daughter of a woman who was in a coma from an aneurysm. Why my wife? She had had one too.

I still remember the Zambian pastor of this church plant seeing my wife and figuring she was the Zambian my pastor mentioned and as he was heading up to do the Bible study he said something in Bemba to my wife while chuckling!

Today at the celebration we sadly learnt that the woman had gone to be with the Lord.

We learnt she was an enthusiastic member, passionate about sharing the Gospel. Once she had helped a man cross the road, she told the man the Gospel and he is now a church member!

I don't know if people in heaven can see the events on earth but if they can I'm sure she is rejoicing and praising God about a landmark of the church she is so proud of!
