Sermon Notes 12/04/26
Sermon based on 1st Thelossians 2:1-12
. Even after being mistreated and abused, Paul and Silas pressed on with the Gospel.
. No matter how difficult our life is, we are to press on and preach the Gospel.
. This Sunday remember our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ across the world- many of them attending church won't even know if they will make it to a Sunday meal after- arrest or even death is possible.
. We are entrusted with the Gospel. Entrusted is not a light word here, like a army is entrusted with a country.
. God sees everything- Paul and Silas truly believed that and we can see they truly believed that as they served Christ and preached the Gospel wholeheartedly.
. Paul and Silas would not flatter sinners- they would call sin as it is.
. False teaching often wears an attractive cloak, my pastor used the prosperity gospel but I shall use TP USA- it sounds attractive to some but at the end of the day all it is, is Christian nationalism, no desire to save souls. The organisation have even platformed people of other faiths there.
. Despite being chosen by God as Apostles, Paul and Silas remained humble.
. Every pastor must give an account of their sermons on the day of judgement.
. Whever you are and no matter who you are with, walk in a manner worthy of Christ.
