Wednesday Prayer Talk Notes 01/04/26
Based on Luke 23:44-46
. "See sin therefore chiefly in the death of Christ, how odious it is to God, that it could be no otherwise purged away than by the death of His beloved Son." Richard Sibbes
. It took nothing less than the death of Christ to forgive our sins, so odious are they.
. Why was it dark? The wrath of God the Father fell on His Son, wrath rightfully meant for us. This was far worse than any of Christ's physical sufferings.
. This weekend we will learn about Christ's physical sufferings but more thought should be given to His spiritual sufferings e.g. God The Father's wrath poured out on Him.
. The whole OT is about Christ- OT scholars who do not believe on Him do not even have the keys to the OT.

. When we breathe our last our worldly concerns won't matter anymore, our eternal destination absolutely will!
