Gigapearl and 200k anyone?
Yes, yes. I know I need to post sermon notes from today (the pastor who visited was from Liverpool) and full Bible Study notes from last week but having your mother in law constantly hovering around, living with you in a terraced the size of a flat and a salamander pipe whirring everytime water runs takes it's toll 😅
For today I will share with you two special points my pastor made from Bible study from Wednesday last week.
Christ and the gigapearl
The world's most expensive pearl is worth between $60m and $100m. Found by a fisherman in the Phillipines.
One day when Christ returns that pearl will be burnt up with the rest of this world.
Christ is the pearl of great price, unlike the valuable gems of this world, He is forever and He is infinitely valuable.
The Cost
You acheive your dream job. You are raking it in with a £250,000.00 salary.
God is calling you to be a missionairy in a remote African village.
This means you will now have to live basically and now leave the lifestyle you have grown used to.
Do you do it? What is more valuable- your lifestyle or following Christ? Thus it is with the cost of being a disciple of Christ.
