Sunday People

I will write about two encounters my wife and I had after church this Sunday.

The Iranian Couple

So worship has finished, glance at my phone and United are beating Wednesday. Good. The agnostic man I have mentioned is by himself so I talk to him, to make sure he knows our church is friendly.

As I'm talking to him, I see my wife, the Iranian couple and my pastor talking. Man, the theological depth of conversation they must be having, but the man I'm talking to is one of those one on one talkers so I continue, I can serve the church by making sure less social people are kept company.

He needs to go. They are still talking. I go over and introduce myself, what a spiritual blessing it was to talk to my Iranian brother and sister in Christ, this Country needs to give them citizenship ASAP!
Please pray for their family's safety.

On a final note I blocked a rather annoying user on here who claimed Middle Eastern Christians don't believe what I do- i.e. Reformed theology. Well, she might want to meet this couple!!!!

The lonely lady

After church my wife visited a lady who began attending our church, she couldn't attend as she had put her back out.

She is lonely as lots of her family are part of the heretical Jehovah's Witness cult.

She has also been clearly damaged by legalistic churches and outright culty churches. She thought her health condition was a direct consequence of a sinful period 20 years ago and her conscience seemed to be on fire because she couldn't complete her Bible reading while having painful back spasms.

By the time my wife and I gave her Biblical counselling she seemed alot less anxious and alot more happy but I think she will need more work on the legalism entrenched into her and my pastor can't do it alone. Please pray about this.
