Got a back payment and treated myself to a couple of books
Above- another daily devotional. Mother in law is upstairs and wife is having a nap so got time to read this. On my first reading today I can already see why Richard Sibbes was called 'The Sweet Dropper'!!!!
Above- no 'feel good Christianity' here! A good cure for lots of the "I'm so blessed!!" Posts here.
A necessary read and one I will use travelling away- I think my first opportunity to read it will be at the hotel my wife and I are going to for our anniversary next month.
Somberly I know there will be many times in my life when a read from here will be essential.
