A great parable by my pastor for Sunday's sermon yesterday showing the foolishness of so called "churches" engaging in "constructive" inter faith dialogue.
A employee is working for an investment bank and has a question related to a very technical figure.
Ten feet away from the employee is a glass cubicle where the head of the department is working, she specialises in such figures and the employee knows she definitely has the answer to his complex query, it's her speciality.
But instead, the employee goes 25 floors down and asks a baffled barista to help him with his complex query.
What a great way of showing the foolishness of "churches" thinking they can get knowledge about God from a world religion not believing on God's Word.
This parable also works with proffesing Christians whose far right or far left politics appear to guide their spirituality, getting their spirituality from human idols rather than God.
I am reminded of an incident on here earlier this week where I saw a foolish comment on the post of a world religion from a fake Christian (the comment, not poster) who told the poster he was embarresed by "American Christians" saying rejection of Christ will lead to hell.
The commenter is completely oblivious to the international church and church history!
Prayers this nation gets more pastors who boldly proclaim the Gospel like my pastor.

Meeting with other Christians from different backgrounds is a great way to see how your faith has been tainted by worldly values. If someone is far right, and takes it for granted that there's no such thing as a socialist Christian, but then he meets one, that provides an opportunity for him to grow
