A very encouraging meeting
A pretty discouraging week- getting fed up by life. Recognise I am human like everyone else, get discouraged and when I "preach" on here, I am preaching to myself too.
The week is, however, ending on a positive note now- several interviews including one from a company that gave me a rejection on the final offer (they contacted me about putting me forward for next week's interview, not the other way round).
But the best part of the week? Yesterday my pastor met me for a coffee (his invite, I do not burden pastors).
It was great- I got to tell him my issues and he replied to them warmly and pastorally, reminding me of God's sovereignty over the situation, in his amazing way of explaining it.
Do I have friends and family I can tell my issues too? Yes, but they are mostly secular and listening to solutions from my pastor who is a very seasoned man of God is honestly much more insightful.
My spiritual battery was certainly super charged after our two hour chat and why? Because his talk about God was exactly like church- God's holiness and sovereignty were mentioned (you read the sermon and Bible study notes), he talked about what God has done in his life and others, etc.
These talks with him will definitely be part of my unemployed memories once I have found work again.
A great reminder of Christian fellowship and how ALL Christians need it, as we are all weak humans and need encouragement in our walk with Christ.
Below- a POV of my watch and hand, ChatGPT gets his expressions and general features right but it makes him look older as his hair is mostly still sandy brown. Hopefully the image emphasises I have to literally "look up" to him while talking! 🤭
