Yes it is Christian to love your enemies.. But most people fall down on this teaching.. They need to obtain the forgiveness of the LORD for this transgression..
Oh and the pope leads a cult.. the catholic religion is not Christian..
Maduro is a communist.. and communism states there is no God. So he is an atheist if he is a true communist.. So i doubt he wants any ministering from any religious figures..

This is not an aside but a direct response to the core message you intend to convey with words of the Bible.
What happens if you raise babies without language? An emperor obsessed with finding answers to fundamental questions raised 12 babies in a house to find out: "Are we born with language of not?" The one question that kept him up at night was whether or not we are born with a divine language through which we communicate with God. The babies were raised in a house of silence. They were cared for by women who fed and tended to them without uttering a word. After five years, the emperor checked on the result of his experiment. He found that the children could only make animal grunts. The children remain mute for the rest of their lives. 12 voices of expression were lost in the pursuit of one man's quest for God.
Jesus said in the same passage.. """ {27} And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.""

My story was pointing to what we are, products of artificial intelligence (i.e. human culture) inhabiting a body which is a creation of God. The Devil has his imprint on everything that is not natural but man-made.
Your story have absolutly nothing to do with the topic we are discussing..

I don't care what the pope might do in a hypothetical scenario. I do support what Trump did.

OK, Jesus said to love your enemies. He said in Matthew 10:34 (NKJV) =
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword."
So, what is he going to do with his sword, kill his friends instead of his enemies?

You are reading the good book like an instruction manual or technical blueprint. Back in the days, working guys like you can't read at all. Scriptural writings are written in allegory. They were the works of a literary tradition of bygone days and meant for reflection.

OK, so when it talks about going to heaven it's all BS. Thanks for seeing that.

It sounds like BS but ask your pastor or priest to explain it to you. What did you do for a living? Construction?

What did Jesus actually say? Are you a biblical scholar or approaching this from an ethical point of view in the study of Jesus' teaching?
This is irrelevant. The focus of this thread is on the practice of Jesus' teaching.
That is not what Jesus actually said. In fact it's not even translated correctly.

But Maduro will be released eventually. Trump will probably pardon him, for a price.

So who is an enemy of who?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955
An enemy is the opposite of a friend. As Bush said, "you are either for us or against us". It seems to us Americans that there is nothing in between when it comes to foreign relationship. This mindset is carved on our national psyche; especially, on the White Christian American. Our military chaplains, particularly within Catholic and Orthodox traditions, bless weapons but this practice focuses on protecting the soldier and ensuring the equipment is used for just defense rather than glorifying violence. Would this win Jesus' approval?
What do you think?

Not sure I get this. The direct answer to your question is that he should forgive his enemies, but since Maduro is a top shelf narco, that seems to be the wrong focus

This focus of this thread is the practice of Jesus teaching and not the excuse for living as a hypocrite i.e. a Christian who pretends to have virtues, beliefs, or feelings they don't actually possess, and whose actions, as American Christians, contradict their stated moral standards, often feigning piety or principles while acting contrary to them.
Who should forgive his enemy? Maduro or Trump, who is also a Christian?
And what do you mean by "wrong focus"? What Maduro is accused of is irrelevant.

Jesus was addressing the Jewish people the standard for Heaven. This is not the standard post crucifixion.
