A doctrinal clarification

Every time I critique a post, a post always comes up saying we are justified by our faith alone "I sure am glad I know I'm not justified by my works".

Let me get one thing straight with you all and I will repeat- I would never even dare to think I am justified by my works, that would be an abominable thought. All the suffering Christ endured and I would dare say I am justified by works? God forbid!!! I will repeat- I know my works will NOT justify me and I KNOW I am justified by my faith ALONE.

"So then BFA why do you always emphasise that Christians should go to church, take the sacraments, care about their persecuted brothers and sisters, read the Bible and pray daily etc.?"

Because when we place our faith in Christ, God does not stop working on us, He produces fruits in us, fruits like the above, it is not a dead faith (James 2:17).

Here are verses about some of the fruits I emphasise, that God has worked in me

1. Caring about the persecuted church- Hebrews 13:3.

2. Reading the Bible everyday 2 Timothy 3:16-17

3. Attending church- Hebrews 10:25

4. Viewing over Christians as family and ESPECIALLY caring about them- Hebrews 2:11 Galatians 6:10

5. Sacraments like the Lord's Supper- John 6:56

I REPEAT- THE ABOVE DOES NOT JUSTIFY ME, ONLY THE CROSS DOES!

" Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling;" From the hymn "Rock of Ages"

“There is more of the supernatural power of God manifested in the regeneration of a single heart than in the creation of the universe itself.” Paul Washer

If believing in Jesus doesn’t make you a good person, don’t bother.
@Bumbles Thankyou. I always get excellent insight into my walk with Christ from a non believer!

I believe ON Christ for my eternal salvation, not YOUR definition of "good".

@BritishFailedAesthetic My definition of good and virtue pre-dates Jesus, and your definition is Protestant anyway. You are an apostate.

@Bumbles Well your definition is against the Word of God because Jesus said that Only God is Good... You don't believe Jesus and you cannot get any more apostate then disbelieving The LORD Jesus..
