Now you know. If you agree you cannot keep quiet.
Once again from a proffesed Christian post we hear of Carl Jung and his shadow theory, a theory which is semi occultic, 100% mystic and dismissed by the majority of psychotherapists as quackery.
It doesn't take long reading into this theory before we encounter this tarot like figure(the trickster).
Moreover, Jung applied this theory foolishly to God saying Satan was actually God's shadow (Answer to Job, 1952).
In the article itself, addiction is not part of our sin but rather a fictional shadow figure of our psyche. Oh, and by the way your true self should be rooted in Christ.
The fictional shadow is nowhere to be found in God's word and advice to integrate it into our walk with God is now going into Santeria style territory.
Walking with God is not about your happiness (though we should absolutely delight in Christ).
Ofcourse being a Christian doesn't mean you can't practice self care (I like to be well groomed and after loosing weight back to my slim self I regularly go to the gym) and yes being a Christian is not about people pleasing, being a pushover and being a yes man or woman.
If this has rung true to you, you now have no choice. Privately and GENTLY correct the author and make sure they find genuine repentance- get them to read the Bible daily, join a Bible believing local Gospel church and physically fellowship with other believers.
There is good news in this- I went through a phrase myself of praying the rosary and asking for the prayers of departed saints, both unbiblical practices. What stopped it? Solid Reformed theology on God's sovereignity and holiness.
Remember when rebuking we must never think ourselves better than that individual and must be in the spirit that we are sinners that would have never come to Christ (God the Son) except by God the Holy Spirit and without God the Holy Spirit dwelling in us we would not walk a nanosecond of the Christian life.
