The global church... locally.
Seeing and hearing about an amazing couple in church reminded me... why not talk about the people I met in 2025- people from the global church... in my own hometown.
Zambian pastor
I still remember the Zambian pastor who chuckled and greeted my wife in Bemba at the church, on his way up to the back rooms setting up for Bible study.
He did a great Bible study in a unique way- acted like he was a teacher and quizzed us when we were least expecting it to keep us on our toes!
Myanmar Pastor
Met him again in the prayer meeting a couple of months ago (you may remember the post) an unexpected mini trial came up from what was due to be a few weeks and has now become a couple of months and probably further.
How that trial ties in is because on the VERY NIGHT this trial happened with an unexpected text, well before the text when I arrived home, he quoted Romans 8:32 to me in conversations on encouragement.
God used that encouragement for me to keep me grounded during this frustrating time- without it I'd be worse.
Iranian Couple
In church this past Sunday a new couple came- brothers and sisters in Christ from Iran who fled the Country.
I read all about these bretheren, long before I met my wife, but actualky seeing them in person is something else.
Sadly I couldn't talk to them in fellowship because I had to dash out to get medication for my mother in law but I look forward to sharing with you all.
Pics
Cartoons of real pictures of the people I met- both pastors here are Reformed and Christ centred with sound Biblical doctrine. The Zambian and Myanmar pastor in order.
