Wednesday Prayer Evening Pep Talk Notes 07/01/26
. If you recieved a golden envelope through the post, a royal invite from King Charles (or president, etc) most would buy a new suit, prepare for the day and be excited. Well, we get several of these golden envelopes each day which are infinitely more valuable when we approach the throne of grace.
. Difficulties and trials are agiven in the Christian life and if you know about the persecuted church our brothers and sisters across the world are facing trials we can't even imagine- doesn't sound like a prosperity gospel to me! On a personal note I myself don't think these Christians have time for new age concepts like "self love" and "self care" etc.
. NEVER forget you are only a Christian because Christ upholds you- our own nature gravitates towards sin and backsliding. Left to ourselves we wouldn't do the Christian walk for a second! Christ is the author and finisher of our faith!
