I know someone who has ‘dealt’ with trauma by moving into New Age.
…. Down the rabbit hole… she refers from Alice in Wonderland, as if it’s a spiritual journey…
I’ve seen her vision board, not knowing what it was. She uses ‘gel out music/meditation music a lot more too…I’m scraping the surface here.
A second, unrelated example, concerns a church I once went to where an ex hippi ‘preached a sermon’ on ‘quantum spirituality’ . I told the church leader,as I left , I’d stick to the Psalms..
Centring prayer is dubious, as is mindfulness. There is some evidence that mindfulness can induce schizophrenia.The British National Health Service actually recommends it. Anything that empties the mind, begs the question. what fills it?

Where I diverge from the speaker slightly, is that we are adopted sons and daughters of God., Gal 4, and that the Holy Spirit dwells within us , Rom 8. She could have emphasised that more.
