Behold, the glory of Jesus Christ...

...who fathered himself, then sacrificed himself to himself to save you from himself!

Makes perfect sense.

Also, he loves you unconditionally, unless you have consensual relations with adults he doesn't like. Then you go straight to hell.

Interestingly, you don’t deny the existence of hell. Or mock it.

@peterlee I don't see why I would need to. You people aren't pushing hell as a destination of choice.

@ItsMeMorgue yet most want to go there. Why do they reject God’s Grace and the efficacy of the cross?

@ItsMeMorgue Nice to see you on a Christian site. Keep searching, God will find you.

Mediate perhaps on Revelations 3 .20

Beyond I stand at the door and knock. He that hears my voice and let’s me in, I will enter him and sup with him, and he with me.

Yeah, I'm sure that gives you major wood, metaphorically speaking.
Keep searching, God will find you.
Wait, I have to look in order for him to find me? Does he not know where I'm at?

Is it blasphemy to make obvious misspellings and punctuation errors when you're quoting the bible?
peterlee · M
@ItsMeMorgue No.

Autocorrect is not a person.

The original version was written down in New Testament Greek, from Aramaic. There is no punctuation in New Testament Greek, even though the language flows quite easily.

How can I blasphemy against a Living God you do not believe in? My faith is
not in a book, but in thr Living God, it is a relationship. And it involves relationships with other people too.

Glad you have found the Holman Hunt. There are three versions. One in St Paul’s cathedral, London.
Notice there is no handle on the door. You have to let Jesus in.

I last saw the painting seven years ago. I was carrying thirty one people in prayer. I lit thirty one candles and prayed for them individually. When I arose from prayer, fifty one candles had been lit. The area was full of light. Several other people had joined me in prayer. The atmosphere was electric.

@peterlee You didn't play the video, did you?

@ItsMeMorgue Not yet, everyone is asleep at the moment, it’s 4.29 am. I’ll get back to you when I have.
peterlee · M
@ItsMeMorgue I’ve now played the first one. Found it rather childish.
