Behold, the glory of Jesus Christ...

...who fathered himself, then sacrificed himself to himself to save you from himself!

Makes perfect sense.

Also, he loves you unconditionally, unless you have consensual relations with adults he doesn't like. Then you go straight to hell.

Jesus was sacrificed to fulfill the law.
The law that if you do something wrong, you should be punished.
The law kind of contends with God's character much like a judges character in a court of law.
He can be lenient or strict depending on the case of the accused
or the law can be followed.

@Hireath Who established the law? Who created it? Who created the beings known as humans, knowing full well that they would have trouble obeying the law? Or are you suggesting he isn't all knowing?

@ItsMeMorgue God embodies the principles of the law because He is love, is perfect and holy.
A good person has morals right? God is like that, times 100.

Yes God would have known we'd have trouble following the law, that's why He sent Jesus.

Would that be the same God who established the holy and perfect law that if a man rapes a woman, he gets to marry her? That's Deuteronomy 22:28-29.

Doesn't sound like a very perfect or loving law to me.

@ItsMeMorgue Well I trust what it says in The Bible.

I feel like you wanna resist the good news. I have to ask why? Why resist the one that could give you everything?

@ItsMeMorgue A little bit before that in Deut 22 it also says a man will die if he rapes a woman and that she has done nothing wrong.

Oh, my mistake. It's a different penalty based on what they think the woman did in order to get raped. How do they judge that? Is it based on what she was wearing? Where she was standing? Whether she was alone?
