But I am a Christian not a Marionist. People love to set up idols that they think they can manipulate. Mary is just such an idol.

@hippyjoe1955 Just rely on God’s grace and stop attacking me.

@peterlee You are the one doing the attacking. So how many times did Jesus call Mary "Mother"? Answer ZERO times. No where in the Gospel accounts did Jesus ever refer to Mary as mother. In fact He denied she was His mother once when she came to take charge of Him because she thought He had gone insane.

@hippyjoe1955 You have missed the whole point of what I am saying. I simply find it easy to pray there.
Yes, you can pray in a field or on a train, in a supermarket queue. But there are distractions, which you need to overcome. Or give a stimulus for prayer.

Jesus told us to pray to the Father..
Seeking to contact the dead in the Bible is against the will of God.. King Saul suffered a great defeat and was killed for contacting the prophet Samuel who was dead..
So renounce all things to do with Marian devotion and cease praying top Mary and acknowledge your sin to God and trust In what Jesus did to Redeem you.. Not in false religious works like mraying the hail Mary and other abominable practices..

@Adstar Who says I pray to Mary!
I don’t.
What I say is that I find it easy to pray there. I suspect because it is quiet. Also the imagery of the crucifixion reminds me that we were reconciled at great cost.
I can just as easily pray up a mountain, reminding me of Gods creation. Or in a desert as Jesus did, where it is quiet.
You have missed the whole point of what I was saying. I hope this clarifies a little.
