I couldn't agree with you more on this subject!
Out of tge mouth the heart speaks..if theres no love of Jesus living inside our hearts, our lips , attitudes, and actions show it. I was at a womans conference one year, the padtors wife took our group to see Beth Moore..well she didnt have anything negative in her sermons or workshops, I ABSOLUTELY loved her shirts, one said " Saved people serve people". I bought one (ten bucks to donate to feed the children,) then the other i bought said " Its not about me, its about THEE" FOR Samaritans purse, the other t shirt i bought.
I wore the first one to work one time and the language i heard..yikes! And theses were women on my trip!!!
We gotta get back to the heart of worship. We gotta tea h truth, live it and apply it DAILY! THANK u for sharing your notes, its always a joy and i learn something every week from you.
@CloudAngel80 Thankyou for taking the time to feedback and for sharing your experiences!

"Saved to serve" I used to go to a church like this but the danger with these churches are they can become so obsessed with serving the community they forget the Gospel and on top of that they partner with charities they shouldn't- I have first experience of this.

"Its not about me, it's about thee"- Is that a reference to God?

Many great churches do indeed serve and many great evangelists served or at least founded great charities- but the key thing is they put the Gospel first. Not all Christians have the talent of serving in that sense.

Thanks very much for saying these posts encourage you, often I get no visible reactions or comments and it can get quire discouraging!

Note:

No Wednesday Bible study notes next week as it's the members meeting and possibly the next week as it could be the monthly prayer meeting.
