Sermon Notes 19/10/25- the rest
. Let us grow in both knowledge of the Word and love.
. Church- are we taking or serving? Church is not a restaurant! We should find roles to serve in our church- it doesn't have to be hard- it can be as simple as serving the teas and coffees or cleaning!
. This should've been included in yesterday's post- you can tell you are in a genuine Gospel church by the doctrine but also the love believers have for each other.
. The sermon went through the book of Romans, all the names of believers- Phoebe, etc. We will meet them in heaven- and after meeting the Romans, we can then meet the Corinthians! 😅
. At a funeral of someone outside of Christ, if the person delivering the funeral says "they are surely looking down on us". No. No they are not. Why would someone who hates the Triune God of the Bible whether consciously or unconsciously be in heaven? That is absurd. Besides, heaven with the God they hate would be a hell to them.
. On the above note I do agree with John Macarthur that children are saved and adults born with a condition that will give them a lower mental age later in life are saved. Macarthur did a book on this.
