Rich young ruler

Friday night house group again last night continuing on looking at the people Jesus met. Looking at the man known as the rich young ruler who wanted to know what to do to inherit eternal life. He didnt realise its not about what we do, we cant do anything its about what Jesus was about to do for him!
Jesus looked at him and loved him like he loves us all but Jesus looked right into his heart and saw his idol was his money. Anything can be an idol, car, family, football team. We need to put Jesus first and this man couldnt do that, he went away sorrowful totall different from the people who accepted Jesus and had their lives totally transformed.
