Eternity past and your trials

During my daily Bible reading this morning I came across a verse that further encouraged me.

Isaiah 46:10- Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done,
Saying, ‘My counsel will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'

Translation used above is LSB, I use an ESV Reformation Study Bible, I just wanted to be trendy in the Reformed cycle 🤭

The verse means what it says.

Our trials were ordained by God in the unimaginable time that was eternity past and what's more, the end of your trials to the nanosecond was known and decreed by God in eternity past.

God is sovereign- He is not to be made to look hopeless- as some people portray him as a hopeless character, just sitting and hoping we come to him and he is absolutely not "activated by our faith". News flash: God does not need you to work his purposes- you are alive by God's grace and it should be an honour to be a vessel for his glory as a Christian.

I hope this brings encouragement to another Christian who is going through trials.
